Picture this: You score VIP access to one of the hottest music and art festivals, hosted in one of the country’s top party cities. Throw in tickets to private performances and access to an exclusive riverboat (yes, a riverboat) docked right on the Mississippi River in New Orleans and you’ll begin to comprehend the mind-blowing experience blu is offering VIP guests of the BUKU Music + Art Project—a two-day festival that’ll be taking over the Big Easy on March 21 and 22.
Not only do VIPs get to hang out on the three-level S.S. BLU-KU—docked directly adjacent to the festival grounds and boasting awesome views of the main stage—but they’ll also get an open bar and a climate-controlled lounge where they can take a break from rocking out. But make no mistake; there will be plenty of rocking out, especially with exclusive performances from world-class artists including:
The Gaslamp Killer
This LA-based DJ keeps a staggering collection of some 13,000 vinyl records at his fingertips, and he’s not afraid to cross the lines between rock, hip-hop, heavy electronic beats and general musical oddity.
Ana Sia has DJed events like Lollapalooza, Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival, and she’s spun alongside renowned artists Deadmau5, Diplo and Datsik (and even some that don’t start with the letter D).
Inspired by keyboards and French house jams, this Australian group is bringing its own brand of guitar-laced, synth-drenched, psychedelia-tinged sound from Down Under right into the heart of BUKU.
(*And word has it that N’awlins native Big Freedia will be on hand to provide a twerking lesson for VIPs looking to drop it like it’s hot.)
