Singer, songwriter, rhythm guitarist, fashion model, TV star—Taylor Momsen has done it all. But she says music is her favorite outlet because it’s the most personal and the most freeing.
As frontwoman of NYC-based rock quartet The Pretty Reckless, she’s the face, brains and voice behind a harder, edgier-than-pop sound that unleashes ferocious power ballads, velvety acoustic performances and everything in between. The band has played the Vans Warped Tour and music festivals around the world.
We met up with Taylor at the House of Blues in LA, where The Pretty Reckless was playing as part of the blu eCigs Freedom Project tour. She talked about how rock ’n’ roll is the embodiment of being free, how life on the road is awesome (though not for everyone) and how she wants her fans to completely let loose at her shows.
